Toilet upstairs is leaking from tank to bowl bolts. Basement toilet is leaking from tank to bowl connection when flushed. After conversating with the customer about their options, they decided to replace both toilets. Customer is wanting to schedule the work to be performed at a later date. RESOLUTION : Sold service estimate to return at a later date and replace 2 toilets. No repairs made today. Customer said they will give payment for deposit when office calls them to book estimate. This estimate also includes installation cost for a customer supplied Flo by Moen smart water shut off system. Informed homeowner that the stop valve will still be down there to connect another one or an icemaker if they decide to in the future and the spout for the filtration system will no longer work. Installed moen Flo smart water valve in basement ceiling before filtration system for the entire house. Customer wanted the water system before the PRV as close to the penetration as it could go but informed him it had to go after the PRV due to the pressure being to high before the PRV. Customer stated that there was a leak coming from the secondary bathroom upstairs into his garage Upon further inspection, found that the ceiling had a giant square of watermarks in the ceiling, gave customer a price to create access hole in the ceiling, and in the drywall in the secondary bed room wall to identify the leak Customer declined. I have us cut access hole. Customer call about code 11 on rinnai tankless water heater I clean the flame rod and fan but still show code 11 we need to come back flush the tank tested and see if this happens again maybe need call tech support do we can find out the issue. Customer States: Leak in living room ceiling. Thinks it may be coming from a toilet in the upstairs guest bathroom. Technician Notes: Out today to investigate a leak. Upon inspection of the upstairs guest bathroom I found 3 possible areas the leak could be coming from. First place is the lavatory faucet/ tubular drain under the sink. Not current leaks but there is evidence of that cabinet swelling. Tub spout leaks from behind when used, water runs in behind wall. Water can escape past shower curtain, this would explain the water damaged/ warped trim in the bathroom corner. No leaks found from toilet in the guest bathroom. Main level powder bathroom toilet is running and needs an American Standard flush seal replaced. Resolution: Estimate created for work above. Customer will be getting her own faucet to be installed in the upstairs guest bathroom. Job Notes: Sewer clean out located in front garden. Customer signed up for our HCC maintenance plan. Customer Stated: They were hearing loud noises whenever the faucets were used, and the toilets were flushed. She also stated that they were able to get hot water from the shower, but it would get luke warm shortly after. Tech Notes: Upon inspection I found that the toilets were located on the main level master, and main level powder bathroom. I was unable to recreate any loud noises from the faucets, and toilets on todays visit. I did find that the shower, and stand alone tub would get luke warm after about 5 mins of hot water running continuously. There are two water heaters located on the basement of home, and both are state 50 gallon electric tanks that are only 6 years of age. I also found that there is a recirculating pump, and swing check valve tied into the heaters. The reason the h/o is having hot water issues is due to the check valve, and recirculating pump failing. I recommended either replacing the pump along with valve or just having them both cut out, and directly piped
We visited your location today due to a malfunctioning water heater caused by the return line pump. We addressed the issue by stopping the operation of the return pump and successfully relit the water heater, which is now functioning properly. The job has been completed and we only charged you for the service call. Additionally, we will be sending you an estimate to replace the existing return line pump.
