Customer needed gas flex line installed so new oven has natural gas connected to it. RESOLUTION : Installed gas flex line for stove/ cook top in kitchen and turned cook top on for customer. After making gas repairs, I have tested for leaks or concerns. At this point in time gas connections are showing no concerns and the unit can now be used as needed. CUSTOMER STATED : Customer's shower knob broke and it won't turn off. Shower has been running constantly for 2 days TECHNICIAN NOTES : Out to the residence for the concern of a master bathroom shower not turning off. After investigating, I found that the delta shower cartridge for the master bathroom has become faulty. While on site I have found signs of a failed pressure regulating valve. Water pressure under the kitchen sink water supply shut off is currently reading 40 PSI. Failed prv has caused secondary damage to the delta shower cartridge. AHS has denied the claim. While on site I also found that the homeowner tried turning the water off to the water heater and now the gate valve will not open back up therefore homeowner currently has no hot water. Water is still on to the home. RESOLUTION : No repairs made today. I have showed homeowner estimates on site but she requested that they got sent to her email. CUSTOMER STATED: His hot water heater would pilot, and ignite but would not stay on. TECHNICIAN NOTES: Upon inspection I found that this is a Ruud 40 gallon natural gas water heater located in the garage of home, and is 16 years of age which is outside of manufacture warranty. I was able to pilot, and ignite burner with no issues. Bruner was able to stay lit for about 10-15 minutes then would cut off indicating that the gas control valve has failed. I let home owner know that we would need to order parts, and this could take 5-7 business days. RESOLUTION: We will need to order gas control valve for the existing Ruud 40 gallon natural gas water heater located in the garage of home, and replace to help fix/prevent any future plumbing issues.
