A plumber's hourly rate ranges from $45 to $200 per hour or more, depending on the task, scheduling and location. "Plumbing" is a vast term that involves everything to do with the system of pipes, tanks and fittings necessary for the water and gas provided to your home, as well as waste removal systems. Plumbers can repair faulty faucets and install sump pumps, among other things. They may repair or replace your water heater, as well as add a sink to your garage. They work in every room of your house.
You'll pay around $200 to have your water heater cleaned and drained. However, depending on the season, you might be able to get a good deal. (Fall is a great season for this.) If your water heater hasn't been cleaned and drained in a while, you should definitely pay someone to handle it. A qualified plumber is your best chance for doing the task correctly and safely.
Bits of food tend to accumulate as they flow through drain pipes over time. Even though the food particles are often tiny, they steadily accumulate inside the p-trap as you rinse your dishes after meals, causing drain clogs. Fats and oils, cereals, soft bread particles and coffee grounds are the most typical culprits of blockage.
